Root & Bloom – Branding, Package Design, Apparel

Root & Bloom set out with the ambitious goal of becoming a leader in the ever-evolving cannabis industry. To achieve this, we needed to position the brand in a way that would distinguish it from the growing number of competitors while emphasizing product quality and approachability. The challenge was to create a brand identity that broke away from traditional cannabis stereotypes. We approached the packaging design with a food service mindset, making the brand feel familiar and accessible, allowing customers to identify and connect with it easily.

As the Creative Director, I led a team of designers while also personally contributing to various design assets. From brand strategy to visual identity, I oversaw the development process, ensuring that every element aligned with the vision of making Root & Bloom a recognizable and approachable name in the industry.

Because we were building the brand from the ground up, we had the opportunity to craft a visual and verbal identity that would resonate deeply with our target audience. The end result was a welcoming, approachable brand that removed the confusion and intimidation often associated with cannabis. Root & Bloom emerged as a brand people could easily identify with, striking the perfect balance between familiarity, trust, and modern appeal in a rapidly growing market.
